Life at Merton: Accommodation

Merton College’s accommodation is all centrally located in Oxford allowing students to experience city living at competitive prices. We can accommodate all undergraduates during term time for the duration of their degree, whether for 3 or 4 years. The College aims to offer all new graduate students accommodation in their first year and some rooms are then made available in later years through a ballot process. All rooms, except our couples’ accommodation, are single occupancy. 

All accommodation is furnished with a bed, desk, desk chair, shelving, wardrobe (or clothes hanging space), carpets, curtains/blinds, lighting, waste disposal and recycling bins.  Some accommodation has additional furniture items.  

Single-room prices include regular cleaning, access to communal kitchens and laundries, and free WiFi.  

Students can easily report maintenance issues via an online help desk.  The College endeavours to fix any problems (e.g. issues with lights or plumbing) quickly.
